The inspiration behind The Joyous Occasion came from the wedding of founder Laurie. It is the personal fulfillment that she derived from planning her own wedding that was the motivating factor behind her becoming a certified Wedding Consultant.

In addition to her certification in wedding consulting, Laurie‘s background in public accounting allows her to tap into a set of strong interpersonal and organizational skills to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.
